About The Position

Ultra PCS is seeking a Production Test and Troubleshooting Specialist to support Test Lab operations. We are an AS9100-certified electronics manufacturer specializing in PCB population, box build, and environmental testing for aerospace and defense clients, with an FAA repair station and in-house design engineering. The ideal candidate brings reliability, attention to detail, and the ability to work well in a team environment. Flexibility will be expected as this role will occasionally require late nights during the week and/or over the weekend.

Requirements

  • High school diploma.
  • This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization.
  • Must be able to visually inspect product or parts through a microscope.
  • Must pass eye exam (can wear glasses or contacts).
  • Controlled hand dexterity for working with tweezers, soldering irons and tiny components.
  • Controlled hand-eye coordination for manipulating tiny components under a microscope.
  • Ability to read and follow production procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ year experience working in electronic circuit board assembly.
  • 1+ year experience hand soldering electronics.
  • Ability to work with other assembly personnel in a cooperative, team manner.
  • Ability to professionally handle critical feedback from quality inspectors and management.
  • Dedication to quality and precision of work.

Responsibilities

  • Identify root causes of test failures, perform diagnostics, and collaborate with engineers to resolve issues.
  • Precision placement of small electronic components onto printed circuit boards.
  • Soldering electronic components onto printed circuit boards.
  • Part by part, visual inspections of both electronic components and assemblies.
  • Installation of hardware (screws, nuts, etc.) using hand held tools.
  • Maintenance and tracking of production and testing documentation.
  • Organization and maintenance of Test Lab workbench and equipment.
  • Operation of vibration table and product specific test stands.
  • Follow ESD control procedures to maintain a compliant work environment
  • Misc. Test Lab tasks as assigned.
