About The Position

HR Wallingford is seeking two Production Technicians to join their Equipment and Technology Division. This team specializes in developing and supplying physical modelling technology for hydraulic, marine, and coastal research facilities. The role involves contributing to the development and delivery of world-class engineering solutions and innovative technologies. The position is based at HR Wallingford's offices in Wallingford, Oxfordshire.

Requirements

  • Solid foundation in mechanical or electrical engineering.
  • At least two years' experience in a small to medium-scale production or assembly environment working with mechanical or electro-mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of the importance of documentation, manufacturing processes, and quality protocols.
  • Technically curious.
  • Self-motivated and proactive.
  • Able to take initiative while contributing effectively as part of a team.
  • Hands-on, detail-oriented approach.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Apprenticeship or further education qualification (such as HNC, HND or BTEC).
  • Experience in areas such as electric motors, rotating machinery, drive or actuation systems, bearings, and seals.
  • Experience in a customer-facing environment.
