The incumbent will be under the supervision of a Control Room Leader. Duties include inspection of, evaluation of, and preventative maintenance on all plant equipment. The incumbent will also be required to perform other duties and tasks. This position requires shift work, overtime, and weekend duty as assigned or needed.

Requirements

High School
1 or more years Manufacturing environment required
Good mechanical ability and ability to work independently
Ability to understand basic flow charts and diagrams
Knowledge in care and use of hand and power tools
Knowledge of bolts, fasteners, air hoses, and coupling devices
Ability to proficiently operate Mobile Equipment
Knowledge of tanks, pumps, industrial air compressors, and lubrication types and systems.
Ability to clean, prepare and/or inspect various equipment and/or areas assigned.
Must be computer literate and able to learn the flow of the plant.

Nice To Haves

1 or more years Mechanical Maintenance Experience preferred
Welding experience or training preferred
Operation of Mobile Equipment preferred
3 years Related experience preferred
Quality or Chemistry background is a plus

Responsibilities

Inspects equipment reported to be out of order or malfunctioning and determines the extent of the repairs needed.
Uses diagnostic equipment to determine the problem(s) and recommend appropriate solutions.
Dismantles equipment to correct unit failures and assembles and/or adjusts equipment as needed.
Operates equipment to test its functionality.
Cleans (solvent/steam) and lubricates equipment as needed.
Documents all repairs & inspections made.
Performs general housekeeping and grounds maintenance.
Uses all safety procedures and guidelines during the performance of all duties.
Communicate thoroughly with various plant personnel about plant repairs that are needed.
Assignments in other areas to satisfy production and maintenance needs.
Keep in regular contact by phone or radio about conditions relating to production equipment and plant conditions in general.
