About The Position

This role is responsible for operating production machinery to produce high-quality products within the required timeframe. The technician will perform visual inspections for defects, prepare and tag production parts, and use shop aids for inspection. They will also record production counts and rejects, rotate through the department as needed, and install raw materials during the production process. Additionally, the technician will monitor daily shipments, provide cost-saving suggestions, and serve as a positive role model within the company culture.

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to recognize error patterns and problems

Physical dexterity to operate machinery

Ability to frequently stand, sit, perform reaching pinching, gripping, pushing, pulling, twisting, and bending

Experience in manufacturing environment helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate production machinery, such as a Sewing Machine, Cutter, Press, Screen Printer, etc. to produce high quality products in the required timeframe.
Inspect visually for defects according to Quality Systems Manual and floor inspection procedure and notifies production support if problems occur.
Serve as a positive role model consistent with Polo Custom Product’s corporate culture.
Collaborate with team members and Supervisor to help team achieve goals.
Prepare and tag production parts in process.
Use shop aids (e.g., templates, micrometers, etc.) for random inspection.
Record accurate counts and rejects of daily production onto paper forms or the ShopTrak system.
Rotate throughout the department/team as necessary to achieve the objective.
Install raw materials (e.g., zippers, solvents, buckles, etc.) manually during the production process.
Monitor daily shipments to meet established production requirements.
Provide cost saving suggestions and ideas to improve production and eliminate waste.
