The Production Technician (Nights) is responsible for the setup and teardown of production jobs, including mold and material changes, and ensuring all safety devices are operational on presses and auxiliary equipment. This role involves setting up auxiliary equipment and workstations for optimal workflow, completing startup/shutdown checklists, and reporting any tool issues that may require repair. The technician monitors and records process parameters for presses in operation, identifies and corrects problems, and continuously seeks to improve process performance and increase efficiency. Troubleshooting responsibilities include making adjustments to the machine, auxiliary equipment, and operating processes to ensure parts meet production requirements, documenting all process changes, and communicating with the Quality Assurance Inspector to verify parts meet tolerances and customer requirements. Adherence to all Quality Food Safety Management System (QFSMS) policies and procedures, including reporting any problems with the QFSMS to a supervisor or manager, is a critical aspect of this role.
