About The Position

The Operational Technician is responsible for efficiently operating production equipment to safely produce the highest quality and best tasting beverage in the world. This role involves operating high-speed packaging equipment, filling branded containers with liquid product, monitoring and maintaining blow-mold technology, applying labels, supplying automated machines for package formation, performing routine checks to identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, and assisting with product and package changeovers. The technician will also perform minor servicing, lockout tagout procedures, conduct visual quality inspections, document production data, perform Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication (CIL) maintenance, and collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets while adhering to all regulatory requirements and company safety guidelines.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • A minimum of one year of work experience is required.
  • Critical thinking skills - ability to assess and complete tasks in order of urgency.
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Basic computer application and technology skills; knowledge of how to operate a tablet or laptop.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in machine operation in a high-speed production or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Basic math skills, mechanical aptitude, and reading comprehension strongly preferred.
  • Prior experience using pallet jack preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operation of High-Speed Packaging equipment.
  • Perform the process of filling branded containers, either cans or bottles, with liquid product.
  • Monitor and maintain blow-mold technology for production of various PET sizes.
  • Applies brand identification labels to product bottles.
  • Supply lids, cardboard cartons, or cans into an automated machine to produce and form a variety of different package types.
  • Perform routine checks and inspections to identify and resolve any equipment malfunctions/abnormalities, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Perform and/or assist in product and package change overs.
  • Understand and perform minor servicing and lockout tagout procedures when necessary.
  • Conducts visual quality inspections of product and enters quality information into the quality database system; communicates any out-of-specification findings and takes appropriate action.
  • Document and maintain accurate records of production data, equipment maintenance, and process parameters.
  • Perform required Cleaning, Inspection, and Lubrication (CIL) maintenance on equipment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve production targets and maximize efficiency.
  • Adhere to all regulatory requirements, company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures.
  • Complete assigned training.
