PIC North America, a Genus Company, is seeking passionate individuals to join them as a Part Time Casual Production Technician in Scottsville, Kentucky. The Production Technician is central to PIC's operations, performing hands-on tasks to maintain the highest standards of animal health and welfare on their farms. The pay range for this job is $18.59 - $23.63, with a starting pay of $19.25.

Requirements

Entry-level position with limited prior training or relevant work experience.
Ability to work as a team player by accomplishing daily department work requirements and farm goals.
Flexibility with a willingness to change plans according to the direction of farm leadership.
Previous livestock handling (preferred).
Ability to work both autonomously and within a team environment.
Ability to follow instructions and deal with standardized situations.
Ability to work in and maintain performance expectations in a fast-paced environment.
Work requires attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
Minimal, if any travel.

Responsibilities

Perform daily animal husbandry tasks.
Maintain accurate and timely production information and records.
Assist in moving animals and maintaining efficient animal flows.
Treat sick animals with a variety of pharmaceuticals by injection, oral application, and/or other methods.
Assist with maintaining the barn, including sanitizing and washing multiple areas on the farm using high-pressure equipment.
Perform office cleanliness and laundry duties.
Adhere to the Company’s animal care policies and procedures, including providing a suitable physical environment, adequate water and feed, humane treatment, identification and treatment of sick animals, and following euthanasia guidelines.
Read and understand the company’s emergency notification process and its application to their specific worksite.
Abide by all company policies, procedures, and guidelines, including the Safety Program, bio-security protocols, and environmental laws and procedures.
