About The Position

A Production Technician for Blast is accountable for processing customer parts per customer requirements while maintaining quality inspections and meeting production rate requirements. This role ensures company standards for safety, quality, and customer satisfaction are met or exceeded by continuously monitoring each step of the production process. The technician is responsible for the start-up of Blast jobs, communicating with other technicians, and visually monitoring tanks, reporting any issues to the Production Shift Supervisor. Maintaining a clean and organized work area, proper equipment storage, and timely completion of required paperwork are also key aspects of this role. The technician must also stay up-to-date with required trainings and follow all safety procedures, including wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Requirements

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Must be a Citizen of the United States of America or have a current Green Card
General knowledge of Blast terminology
Strong attention to detail to ensure safety and quality
General computer skills and the ability to work with basic computer programs
Ability to balance workload effectively and stay organized
Ability to read and understand processes, procedures, and instructions
Ability to work and collaborate with others respectfully and professionally
Ability to be dependable and punctual, work overtime as needed
Lift up to 30 lbs. regularly and up to 50 lbs. on occasion
Ability to use hand tools requiring using fine dexterity and precision
Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, and bending for 8 hours as the position requires
Ability to withstand occasional odors

Responsible for start-up of Blast jobs
Communicate with other technicians within department to share needed information throughout workday
Responsible for visually monitoring tanks and communicating issues with the Production Shift Supervisor
Maintain a clean line, free of clutter. Store equipment properly
Notify the Production Shift Supervisor of any necessary maintenance repairs that are needed
Properly complete required paperwork
Maintain a clean, neat, and organized work area
Keep up to date with required trainings within the LMS system
Follow proper safety procedures such as wearing Personal Protective Equipment including safety glasses, gloves, respirators or other as needed
Other duties as assigned
