About The Position
At JTEKT Automotive Tennessee Vonore, our Production Technicians are essential to delivering the high-quality products our customers depend on every day. In this role, you will work hands-on in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment, assembling components, operating equipment, and ensuring each product meets strict quality and safety standards. You will play a key part in keeping production flowing by performing a variety of assembly tasks, identifying defects, and supporting continuous improvement efforts. This role requires focus, teamwork, and attention to detail, as well as a commitment to safety and quality in everything you do. Requirements
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus

- Ability to use hand tools and measuring equipment
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions and visual information
- Strong concentration and task focus
- Ability to work independently within a team environment
- Basic knowledge of quality, safety, and environmental systems
- High School Diploma or GED required
Responsibilities
- Operate equipment, air tools, and gauges to assemble components safely
- Install, insert, torque, purge, wipe, and inspect parts for quality and cosmetic defects
- Operate production machines and monitor performance
- Visually inspect parts for defects such as porosity, roughness, or imperfections
- Perform 5S activities including cleaning, organizing, and maintaining work areas
- Read and understand work instructions, charts, graphs, and measuring devices
- Utilize the Andon system to report malfunctions or quality concerns
- Rotate through multiple production processes and loops
- Replenish and stock parts as needed
- Become efficient across multiple workstations/processes
- Participate in continuous improvement (Kaizen) activities
- Work overtime, weekends, and holidays as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
