About The Position

Essity is a global leader in health and hygiene. This role involves operating a simple line/machine/palletizer or supporting the operation of a production line for hygiene products, manufacturing products according to fixed specifications and Standard Operating Procedures. As a member of the shift team, the Operator is responsible for the performance of the machine. Must be able to work 10-12 hour rotating shifts.

Requirements

High School or GED required.
Must have 1 year of related experience.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to effectively train others.

Strong machine and process knowledge.

Responsibilities

Operate process & equipment efficiently.
Be accountable for the performance of his/her equipment.
Consistently apply the necessary standards to keep the process under control.
Develop standards (CL, CIL, PM, OPL, WPS, etc.) through observation to gain deep understanding of the equipment.
Troubleshoot stops in a structured way using the available tools: POS, BDE, etc.
Understand the operation and equipment, what it does/how it works & can carry out CIL (Clean, Inspect, Lubricate) tasks and perform simple maintenance tasks.
Lead changeovers.
Order and prepare raw materials and install them on the machine according to Standard Operating Procedures.
Maintain adequate communication with previous and next shift as well as with other persons involved in running the machine.
Maintain optimal housekeeping.
Secure the quality level of the products by regularly checking against the product specification, rejecting and blocking if necessary.
Complete all required documentation and data files during production.
Support all safety enablers and initiatives in a positive manner.
