About The Position

Reddy Ice is a leading brand in ice production and manufacturing, valuing consistency, quality, and service. This full-time, permanent Production Technician position is responsible for the safe operation and sanitation of high-speed production equipment and associated support equipment. The role involves performing product and size changeovers, completing daily production and quality logs, maintaining the work area, and carrying out daily and weekly maintenance on assigned equipment. The technician will also assist plant engineers and mechanics with higher-level maintenance tasks. Reddy Ice manufactures and distributes approximately 1.8 million tons of ice annually to a broad and diversified customer base, relying on high standards for ice production and high service levels.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrated work experience and knowledge of mechanical or industrial equipment

Nice To Haves

• Understands basic hand tools
• Prior work experience with robotic equipment
• Ability to learn and understand machine operation including major components and how these components are integrated into a fully functional machine
• Ability to troubleshoot & remedy basic operational problems

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the safe operation and sanitation of high-speed production equipment and associated support equipment such as metal in product detectors, film wrappers, conveyors etc.
• Perform product & size changeovers
• Complete daily production & quality logs
• Keep work area neat and orderly
• Carry out daily & weekly maintenance on assigned equipment
• Assist plant engineers and mechanics in completing higher-level maintenance tasks
