This role is a continuous shift night position, starting on straight days (M-F) and then moving to a continuous night role (6/6:30p to 6/6:30a) on a 36/48 biweekly schedule, including two weekends a month. The starting rate is $30.89/hr plus an hourly shift differential once assigned to the continuous shift.

Requirements

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Basic computer skills (Must have the comfort and aptitude to learn computer applications associated with the position.)
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, and twisting
  • Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic and ability to learn.
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Solid verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong general mechanical and math skills.
  • HSD or GED

Responsibilities

  • Package intermediates and finished products into bags, super sacks, cartons, drums, totes, boxes, and tank wagons; ability to manually handle and lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., stacking bags onto pallets)
  • Operate, maintain, and change filters and filtration systems
  • Assemble and disassemble rotoformer equipment as required for production and maintenance activities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues with flaker belts, rotoformer systems, and packaging equipment
  • Perform routine cleaning and housekeeping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
  • Operate various crushing equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures
  • Set up packaging systems and materials for upcoming production batches
  • Perform labeling, stenciling, and placarding of intermediates, finished products, and rework containers in compliance with regulatory and company standards
  • Conduct inspections, complete checklists, and accurately document operational activities
  • Strictly adhere to all safety policies and procedures, including federal, state, local, and site-specific requirements
