About The Position

The Production Technician is responsible for setting up and changing over of the equipment in the Manufacturing area and assisting in Manufacturing operations by operating equipment as needed. This role requires a high school diploma or GED equivalent and 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency with basic computer skills and mechanical aptitude are essential. The technician must be able to perform repetitive lifting tasks and be flexible for overtime when needed. The work environment may involve exposure to various substances and allergens, and the role requires the ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with encapsulation machines, tablet presses, and powder blending equipment preferred.
  • Proficiency with basic computer skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Fluency in the English language (both written and verbal).
  • Able to perform repetitive lifting tasks.
  • Flexibility for overtime when needed.
  • Must be able to lift 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in a physically challenging environment, including bending, twisting, and standing for up to 8 hours.
  • Must be able to successfully clear drug screening processes, which include testing for all illegal substances per Federal Guidelines.

  • Experience with encapsulation machines, tablet presses, and powder blending equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, troubleshoot, and perform changeovers on manufacturing equipment.
  • Ensure equipment is properly set up before and during each job run.
  • Monitor equipment performance during operation and help maintain optimal efficiency.
  • Follow all procedures and operational guidelines outlined in Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Contact maintenance as needed when equipment issues arise during operation.
  • Assist production and packaging teams with basic operations when requested by the shift supervisor or department manager.
  • Operate equipment to cover for associates during breaks or when department is short staffed due call outs / scheduled vacations.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
