Production Technician
About The Position
We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Production Technician to join our growing manufacturing team in Columbus, Ohio. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- 6 months to 2 years of manufacturing or assembly experience preferred.
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
- Ability to read work instructions, safety procedures, and operating manuals.
- Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and decimals.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
- Reliable attendance and a positive team-oriented attitude.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products and components according to work instructions and customer specifications.
- Perform repetitive bench and assembly line operations to meet production schedules.
- Assemble electronic and mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, fixtures, and jigs.
- Drill, tap, ream, fasten, sand, clean, and shape parts as required.
- Operate production equipment and monitor machine performance.
- Perform inspections to ensure products meet quality standards.
- Conduct testing using calibrated equipment and accurately record results.
- Perform basic troubleshooting on equipment, materials, and production processes.
- Complete production documentation and data entry for safety, quality, and delivery metrics.
- Participate in cross-training and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
- Follow all company safety procedures, 5S practices, ISO requirements, and manufacturing standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Assist with training team members when needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
