About The Position

Produce and package materials from the Plastics Recycling operations. Produce a quality product while working in a safe manner.

Requirements

  • Must have High School diploma or of equivalent value.
  • Must have high school education or equivalent.
  • Ability to read, speak and write English efficiently preferred.
  • Required to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions and procedures.
  • Required to work comfortably with basic math skills.
  • Able to follow work procedures and pay close attention to detail.
  • Ability to operate a fork truck.
  • Must be able to effectively use computer systems for operational reporting.
  • Must be comfortable working in a non-climate-controlled environment.
  • All injuries regardless of severity must be reported to your Manager/HR immediately.
  • Must be able to comply with all uniform and PPE requirements.
  • Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Excel, Word

Responsibilities

  • Load bales of material onto conveying system.
  • Operate extruders, material transfer equipment, and wash-line processes.
  • Follow all company procedures as well as written and verbal instructions.
  • Fill out daily shift paperwork, information boards and logbooks.
  • Package finished product into bags or boxes when required.
  • Make labels for packaged products.
  • Compliance with manufacturing process instructions and Work Package Instructions.
  • Move, load and package Raw and Finished Goods as required.
  • Inspects, cleans, and performs assigned basic preventative maintenance on process equipment.
  • Report and assist as needed all equipment status changes to Maintenance & Supervision
  • Preparing equipment for maintenance work including lock-out tag-out.
  • Ensures that waste is appropriately characterized, documented, labeled, stored and disposed in compliance with all Company, state and federal regulations.
  • Keep a clean and safe work area.
  • Follow all Quality, Safety and Environmental Procedures.
  • Sample collection for Quality analysis
  • Execute priorities and prep for changeovers with other technicians, group leads, and shift supervisors
  • Uphold the Blue Polymers Code of Conduct standards.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Production Manager.
