About The Position

Reddy Ice is a leading brand in ice production and manufacturing, valuing consistency, quality, and service. The company manufactures and distributes approximately 1.8 million tons of ice annually to a broad and diversified customer base, relying on high standards for product quality and service. This full-time, permanent Production Technician position is responsible for the safe operation and sanitation of high-speed production equipment and associated support equipment such as metal in product detectors, film wrappers, and conveyors. The role involves performing product and size changeovers, completing daily production and quality logs, maintaining a neat and orderly work area, carrying out daily and weekly maintenance on assigned equipment, and assisting plant engineers and mechanics with higher-level maintenance tasks.

Requirements

• Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
• Demonstrated work experience and knowledge of mechanical or industrial equipment
• Ability to learn and understand machine operation including major components and how these components are integrated into a fully functional machine
• Ability to troubleshoot & remedy basic operational problems

Nice To Haves

• Understands basic hand tools
• Prior work experience with robotic equipment

Responsibilities
