Production Technician
About The Position
NatureWorks is an advanced materials company providing renewably-sourced polymers and chemicals to industries such as packaging, fibers, and chemicals. Our Ingeo™ polymers offer eco-friendly alternatives to oil-based products and are used in various applications from electronics to 3D printing. We are seeking a Production Technician responsible for the safe, daily operations of our production plant. This role involves environmental compliance, ensuring product quality, and maintaining plant safety. The position requires 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Shifts will rotate from days to nights every 8 weeks. Our plant is located in the Blair bio-refinery campus.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Nice To Haves
- Manufacturing experience desired.
Responsibilities
- Ensure plant safety, identify unsafe conditions, and follow EH&S policies.
- Operate equipment, monitor plant systems, troubleshoot, and adjust processes as needed.
- Communicate with supervisors about quality and cost control improvements.
- Maintain plant cleanliness and support overall plant upkeep.
