Performs all Senior Production Technician and below job responsibilities and is viewed as the subject matter expert (SME) for all basic, intermediate, and advanced processes and equipment within the department. Works towards a career path in Supervision/Leadership, actively taking management classes and demonstrating leadership skills. Performs team leader functions, including weekend site supervision, extension of supervisor, and providing work direction to the team. Acts as supervisor when required. Takes initiative with a positive attitude and leads by example/mentoring. Exhibits high mechanical aptitude and ability for operating and troubleshooting all processes within the area. Programs automation and manual processes, conducts testing trials on new materials, processes, and equipment, and collaborates closely with engineering, Tool & Die, and maintenance teams. As a Production Technician Lead, you’re the go-to expert for all processes and equipment in your department. You drive safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement while providing work direction and leading by example. With a high level of mechanical aptitude, you troubleshoot and operate all systems, collaborating with engineering, Tool & Die, and maintenance to keep everything running smoothly. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 7+ years in related manufacturing role working with injection molding.
  • Skilled in operating, troubleshooting, and adjusting complex machinery, including robotic equipment.
  • Quickly learns new technologies, tools, and processes.
  • Strong math skills with the ability to interpret graphs, charts, and ratios.
  • Uses data-driven decisions to prioritize tasks and optimize production.
  • Seamlessly switches between tasks, machinery, and processes, ensuring efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
  • Works independently with minimal supervision, solving complex problems where guidelines are limited.
  • Performs detailed work with high concentration and accuracy, often under tight deadlines and demanding conditions.
  • Requires innovative thinking to improve processes and meet high production standards.
  • Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, troubleshoot, and support advanced technology machines and processes.
  • Coordinate daily tasks, lead safety initiatives, present key metrics, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Start up, operate, and shut down advanced technology equipment and processes.
  • Drive process improvements and encourage lean initiatives.
  • Assist in writing training materials and serve as the primary training expert.
  • Performs all Senior Production Technician and below job responsibilities.
