About The Position

The Production Technician II performs advanced operation of aseptic filling and packaging equipment. Filling duties include operating ointment, gel, solution, and suspension filling lines, including RABS fillers, and maintaining equipment and the aseptic area. Packaging duties include operating packaging lines and serialization equipment, as well as performing labeling, visual inspection, bundling, cartoning, and banding activities. The role also involves line and equipment cleaning, disinfection, line clearance, changeovers, documentation, basic troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance. The technician is responsible for following GMP, ISO, and EHS requirements and supporting operational excellence initiatives. The position may be located in Tampa, Florida.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three to five years of experience as a Packaging Operator II, Aseptic Filling Operator IV, or equivalent.
• Able to work quickly and under pressure.
• Good documentation and math skills.
• Detail-oriented and quality-conscious.
• Team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the production area to prevent cross-contamination through line clearance.
• Clean and disinfect equipment after each run and perform line clearance.
• Maintain OEE through system entry and adherence to standards.
• Document activities and operations correctly and promptly in batch records.
• Perform basic troubleshooting to prevent equipment downtime.
• Perform preventive maintenance.
• Perform line changeovers for different format sizes.
• Complete required SOP, EHS, and HR training during the year.
• Support operational excellence and EHS initiatives.
• Assume responsibility for GMP, ISO, and EHS awareness and compliance in the assigned area.
• Attend and participate in operational excellence improvement initiatives, including cost reduction and OEE improvements.
• Operate packaging lines and serialization equipment.
• Transfer components into the aseptic area.
• Set up for CIP/SIP.
• Operate ointment, gel, solution, and suspension filling lines, including RABS fillers.
• Operate the Continuous Particle Monitoring System for filling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
