Production Technician for Materials

About The Position

This role is responsible for coordinating material distribution for all shifts within Production, with a specific focus on plastic resins. The technician will utilize the production schedule to plan and stage materials for the Molding Department, interact with the Warehouse for material movements and inventory accuracy, and maintain lot control of raw materials on the production floor. A strong understanding of material handling equipment such as dryers, loaders, and concentrate feeders is essential, as is the ability to troubleshoot these systems. The technician will also perform material audits, operate a forklift safely, and collaborate with material handlers, set-up technicians, process technicians, and scheduling to meet production demands. The role may require working outside normal hours, including overtime or alternate shifts, to accommodate production needs.

Requirements

HS diploma or GED required
5-10 years in plastic injection molding
Requires experience with plastic resin
Ability to communicate with internal customers
Good organizational skills
Ability to move materials / lifting / bending / reach overhead
Ability to use equipment such as forklift, motorized pallet jack, hand tools

Responsibilities

Utilize the production schedule to plan and stage material for all shifts within the Molding Department
