About The Position

Performs basic and intermediate testing and repair for equipment from field sites. Operates electronic test equipment pertaining to the assigned basic/intermediate repairs. Performs needed tests, troubleshooting and repairs of subassemblies for the basic/intermediate repairs assigned. Works in a Depot shop environment on Printed Circuit Boards (PCB’s), subassemblies, and other individual parts as required. This position typically works under general supervision and direction.

Requirements

Two years college/tech school degree in electronics, and / or a minimum of four years’ experience in an electronics related industry.
Must have through hole and surface mount components soldering skill.
Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to travel.
Ability to work in hectic and noisy environments.
Must be able to stand for long periods.
Ability to lift 50 pounds

Responsibilities

Have a basic/intermediate understanding of schematics, part/wire lists, test procedures, work orders, customer specifications
Diagnoses, locates, troubleshoots malfunction, and repairs as needed
Identify and assist senior personnel in set up and operation of electronic test equipment to perform intermediate operational and functional tests on assemblies and sub-assemblies
Assists senior personnel in the performance of their duties when needed
Performs technical and semi-technical tasks not always electronic in natures
Maintains appropriate records and documentation in accordance with depot procedures and requirements. (examples including, SAP, Data collection documents)
Assists senior personnel in providing feedback to their supervisor and planning on time restraints and productivity goals set by management
Possesses ability to understand verbal instructions to rework, repair, test and troubleshoot equipment and PCB’s
