About The Position

The Production & Technical Director (P&TD) is responsible for the development and implementation of all the audio, visual, lighting, and streaming activities throughout the facility and online. The P&TD will develop, lead, and empower the technical teams in all aspects of the Weekend Gatherings, productions, events, and other weekly gatherings - in the spirit of Ridge Point’s mission and vision.

Requirements

  • Experience with professional audio, lighting, video, LED wall, ProPresenter, and livestream/broadcast systems
  • Experience supporting AVL systems across a large or multi-space facility
  • Proven experience developing and leading volunteer technical teams
  • Willing to call Ridge Point Community Church your home church and attend regularly within 6 months of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with concerts, large-scale events, staging, temporary power, and outside production vendors

Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution of technical aspects of worship services, productions, events, and gatherings to artistically communicate God’s message clearly and with excellence
  • Oversee and lead all technical aspects of the weekend services, coordination of volunteers and equipment
  • Coordinate with other Ridge Point church ministry teams to educate and promote technical excellence in a “behind the scenes” manner in all our services, events, and gatherings
  • Implement relevant programming that is attractive to seekers and believers
  • Assist as needed in the coordination and execution of church events and gatherings outside of the weekend services, promoting technical excellence and a servant’s heart to the church as a whole
  • Coordinate all weekend volunteers for Sound, Lighting, Video, and Media Teams
  • Ongoing evaluation of technology changes, enabling the strengthening of worship experiences
  • Keeping the church and worship arts department up to date with current tech trends, implementing changes where needed and as necessary
  • Oversee operation, programming, content standards, and maintenance of the LED wall and supporting video systems
  • Oversee livestream production and broadcast audio/video quality
  • Provide technical leadership for the Backyard Summer Concert Series and other large-scale events
  • Coordinate audio, lighting, video, staging, power, and production needs for special events
  • Oversee and support AVL systems throughout the facility, including classrooms, meeting rooms, kids and student spaces, cafés, and other ministry environments
  • Determine technical requirements, staffing, equipment, and support needs for ministry events, rentals, and outside events
  • Develop preventative maintenance, inventory, troubleshooting, and equipment replacement plans for AVL systems
  • Create clear technical processes, documentation, and training for staff and volunteers
  • Recruit, train, develop, and empower volunteer leaders across audio, lighting, video, cameras, presentation, and broadcast
