This position is responsible for performing the repair of core and support new recovery processes, by way of the established remanufacturing process. Requirements

Must be capable of repetitive hand manipulation, grasping and supporting power tools
Must be able to stand on concrete for entire shift with repetitive bending, stooping, twisting, reaching and lifting up to 50 pounds . (with assistance from a team member or use of hoist)
Ability to perform cast or aluminum weld repairs
Select proper electrodes and holders
Regulate current and time
Must maintain a clean work area.
Meet quality standards and implement continuous improvement measures
Cross train on other jobs as required
Ability to operate riveting, torqueing, hand tools and small power tools in a safe and nondestructive manner.
Read and understand Work Station Instruction documentation
Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently
Ability to work overtime when necessary
Established satisfactory attendance record and performance rating
Perform other duties as assigned

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a manufacturing (automotive/trucking) environment
Previous mechanical & welding experience preferred
High School Diploma / GED preferred and further college education a plus

Responsibilities

Perform physically demanding manufacturing duties including: repetitive processes, moderate to heavy lifting, the use of machinery, and following standardized work procedures
Actively participate in improving work area in terms of safety, quality, attendance, productivity, suggestion activities, housekeeping, and throughput
Perform cast and/or aluminum weld repairs
Use Arc welder and electrode rods to perform tack and bead welds
Use oxygen/acetylene torch for cutting metals
Operate hand and power tools to grind, bevel, fit metals together and remove slag
Select proper electrodes and holders
Regulate current and time
May operate crane or hoist to move materials
Properly identify component parts by learning identification numbers
Adhere to established work rotation plan
Complete training matrix for each rotation position
Ability to read and understand Work Station Instructions
Use computer systems to access company data associated with the assembly process, utilize drawings, bills of materials and specification sheets in both electronic and hard copy
