About The Position

The Production Tech is responsible for ensuring the quality control of dry ice produced, tracking quantities and materials used, and maintaining clear records on all inventory and stock. This role involves receiving and processing incoming stock, monitoring product quality, preparing orders for shipment, and operating stock management tools. The position requires adherence to safety regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). The Production Tech will also contribute to maintaining a safe work environment, identifying process improvements for efficiency and profitability, and assisting with production-related records for safety, KPIs, and order completion. Understanding and following the Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan is crucial, as is participation in the LEAN manufacturing culture. Additional duties may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work in cold, hot, and noisy environments.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Basic math and reading skills; ability to understand production labels and instructions.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment preferred
  • Experience with forklift operation is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Ensures correct quality control of dry ice produced as well as tracks the quantities and materials used
  • Receives and processes incoming stock
  • Monitors product quality: making changes as directed and track changes
  • Maintains clear records on all inventory and stock
  • Cleans, sanitizes, and organizes
  • Prepares orders for shipments
  • Records exact arrival and departure times for shipments
  • Operates stock management tools
  • Demonstrates support of General Manufacturing Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and adheres to all quality requirements including Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), etc.
  • Works at maintaining a safe work environment and remains in compliance of all Company, Local, State and Federal mandates, or programs
  • Looks for improvements in services and processes with the objective to reduce waste while striving for greater efficiency and profitability
  • Assists with maintaining records for all phases of production relative to safety, (KPI’s) key performance indicators, and order completion
  • Understands and follows procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan (and any other programs that support the food safety and quality systems and other 3rd party audits)
  • Participates in LEAN manufacturing culture
  • Additional duties as needed
