Requirements

  • Ability to build and maintain inventory systems (labeling, tracking, and following up)
  • Excellent problem solving skills

  • Experienced at providing structured training to others
  • Strong mechanical skills coupled with the ability to read drawings.
  • Strong computer skills including a strong working knowledge of EBS, QMOS, IBA and CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the mill to ensure QTB setups are ready for the next section.
  • Working with the mill and Melt Shop to refine chemistries based on QTB performance.
  • Ensuring all PM’s and rebuilds are performed on QTB.
  • Monitoring, maintaining, and training team on air oil system.
  • Ensure looper and bypass troughs are maintained.
  • Helping throughout the mill where needed.
  • Responsible for training pulpit operators in QTB HMI and in troubleshooting QTB related problems.
  • Candidates must be willing to work flexible schedules for QTB changeovers and trials.
  • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
