Oxy’s Summer Intern Program runs from June to August for a full 12 weeks. As an Oxy intern, you will have the opportunity to experience real-life projects with hands-on participation in Oxy’s core businesses. Oxy interns are paired with a manager and mentor to provide guidance with weekly knowledge checks and check-ins to ensure intern is receiving proper training and retention. In addition to attending training and development courses, lunch and learns, and social activities, interns will be given the chance to meet with Oxy leadership throughout the internship.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical principles
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations is required.
  • Proficient in the use of personal computer utilizing a MS Windows environment.
  • General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as by self without direct supervision.
  • Technical skills related to math and analytical processes.
  • Strong initiative and self-starter
  • Multi-task orientation with skills related to work prioritization.
