About The Position

Utilizing aseptic technique in a biosafety cabinet (BSC), the Production Tech I candidate will prepare cell cultures for working seed stock production, cell passaging for culture maintenance, and culture ramp-up for slide spotting operations. This includes visual and microscopic examination of cultures, performing cell counts using a hemacytometer, seeding cultures into new culture vessels, and preparing slide spotting cell suspensions. Additional responsibilities include: Slide racking, spotting, fixation, inspection, and pouching operations Lab equipment maintenance, including pipette calibration verification and cleaning of labs, BSCs, incubators, and water baths Preparation and completion of all required documentation Entering labor and charging materials, researching material discrepancies in the ERP system, and generating purchase requests for indirect materials. As an active member of the Slide Production team, the candidate will help ensure production deadlines are met by troubleshooting production obstacles, equipment issues, and material challenges, using ERP system skills for material verification, inventory research, and charging materials/labor, supporting lab cleanliness, equipment upkeep, and preventative maintenance, and cross-training with other production groups as needed. The ideal candidate brings attention to detail, cGMP knowledge, and strong teamwork across departments.

Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
  • 0-2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic math, problem-solving, computer, and equipment troubleshooting skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions with sound judgment.
  • High integrity with a positive, growth-oriented attitude.
  • Reliable, flexible, and effective working independently or on a team.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional technical training beyond high school / a chemistry background or degree is preferred.
  • GMP manufacturing experience.
  • Production machinery operation experience a plus.
