About The Position

Weyerhaeuser Company is seeking full-time entry level Production Team Members at our Drayton Valley, AB Sawmill for immediate vacancies. We are seeking individuals committed to safety and that have a desire to work in a manufacturing facility while maintaining a positive attitude and good work ethic. The starting pay for this position is $28.50/hr. and will increase to $34.449056/hr. after successful completion of the probationary period.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
Eligible to work in the Canada without sponsorship.
Willingness to wear all required personal protective equipment.
Willingness to work a rotating shift, including nights.
Ability to perform essential job functions of the position, which may include climbing stairs, navigating catwalks, lifting 50lbs, bending and performing repetitive movement tasks.
Good communication skills.
Successful completion of pre-employment testing process.
Ability to work within a team setting.
Able to perform basic math and use computers.
Resume detailing education and work history required for consideration.

Nice To Haves

Industrial or Manufacturing experience is a plus.
Experience in self-directed team environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

Total commitment to working safely, following all safety rules and company policies and procedures.
Responsible for daily operation of manufacturing equipment that produces lumber.
Safely perform regular preventive maintenance and clean up on equipment.
Work effectively in a team environment.
Problem solve and troubleshoot equipment and issues on a regular basis.
Involved in ongoing process improvement in the work area.
Safely perform quality checks and ensures production of a quality product.
May operate forklifts and other mobile equipment to manage product flow.
Complete shift paperwork and recordkeeping.
Attend team meetings and regular training sessions.
