Previous furniture assembly, using power and hand tools (saws, routers, drills)

Responsibilities

Handling heavy loads and parts for CNC or machining to specification
Inspecting parts for defects and machining when required
Using carpentry and other tools: drills, routers, saws to machine parts
Recording production and scrap from materials
Performing 5S and cleaning of working area daily
Monitoring and maintaining quality and production extruder machin
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
5S and preventative maintenance as required.
Using power tools to rework or remove nubs from parts as required
Minimizing, handling and recording daily scrap levels
Escalating and communicating issues with machine to appropriate staff levels
Loading and unloading parts into robotic line cell
Monitoring robotic line ensuring it is running smoothly with no defects
Performing quality checks to ensure packaged products meet specifications
Packaging and skidding product at end of line with all parts inspected and approved to ship
Operating carpentry tools: band saw, routers, drills, glue guns
Using jigs and other pieces of equipment to assemble according to job instructions
Packaging and skidding product ensuring all items are present and ready for shipment
Attention to detail – ensuring any quality defects are escalated to appropriate staff
Produce assembled products per set standards, always maintains a clean work area, follows company policies & procedures and safety rules, punctual and reliable attendance is a must.
