About The Position

This role involves various tasks on the production floor, focusing on quality control, machine operation, and documentation. Key responsibilities include accurately counting and identifying parts (good, rejected, or requiring rework), managing machine downtime, ensuring material flow, adhering to the 5S methodology, and performing specified machining steps. The position also requires meticulous record-keeping within the ERP system for part counts, machining times, downtime, and deviations. Additionally, the team member will handle material requests, consumption postings, packing and labeling of finished parts, quality checks, and operating various systems. Troubleshooting minor machine interruptions and escalating technical issues are also part of the role, along with executing the set-up process.

Requirements

  • Ability to count good parts, rejected parts, and parts that require reworking.
  • Skill in identifying and reporting machine downtime.
  • Proficiency in inserting and removing materials from systems.
  • Understanding and application of the 5S methodology.
  • Ability to follow cleaning and inspection plans.
  • Competence in performing set machining steps.
  • Accuracy in confirming part counts, machining time, and downtime in the ERP system.
  • Experience with material requests and consumption posting in an ERP system.
  • Knowledge of packing and labeling specifications.
  • Ability to perform quality checks.
  • Experience with operating individual and multi-system operations.
  • Capability to start/restart systems according to documentation.
  • Skill in fixing temporary machine interruptions within defined responsibilities.
  • Understanding of escalation procedures for technical problems.
  • Ability to carry out the set-up process.

Responsibilities

  • Counting good parts, rejected parts, and parts that require reworking.
  • Identifying and reporting any machine downtime.
  • Inserting material into and removing parts from systems.
  • Ensuring the use of the 5S methodology at the workstation.
  • Working through cleaning and inspection plans.
  • Performing the machining steps set out in the work plan.
  • Confirming the good parts, rejected parts, and parts that require reworking, the machining time and downtime, and the reasons for any deviations in the defined ERP system.
  • Executing the material request and the material consumption posting in the defined ERP system.
  • Packing and labeling produced parts as per the defined specifications.
  • Carrying out defined quality checks.
  • Using individual systems and/or implementing multi-system operation.
  • Starting/restarting systems as per the documentation or specifications.
  • Fixing temporary machine interruptions that fall within the defined responsibility.
  • Escalating technical problems in line with the defined escalation matrix.
  • Carrying out the set-up process.
