You will be responsible for various aspects of food processing and production, ensuring that all products meet our high standards of quality and safety. You will play a vital role in maintaining compliance with food safety regulations and contributing to a positive customer experience. Scheduled hours for this 3rd shift position are 10:30 PM - 7:00 AM. The pay rate starts from $19.80 - $21.40/hr.

Requirements

  • Mechanical aptitude and expertise in troubleshooting equipment.

  • Knowledge of food safety practices/regulations and sanitation standards.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members.
  • Ability to follow instructions and adhere to food production processes.

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Previous experience in a food processing or production environment is preferred but not required.
  • Experience in a kitchen, food service, or manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Experience with food preparation or handling is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with food safety standards, including HACCP and GMP practices is helpful.
  • Food safety certifications (e.g., ServSafe) are a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Operate and oversee complex production machinery, including mixers, fillers, sealers, and packaging systems.
  • Configure and optimize machine settings for varied production runs, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
  • Mentor and train junior operators on machinery operation and best practices.
  • Monitor the production line's performance, making real-time adjustments to improve efficiency and product quality.
  • Analyze production data and identify trends to proactively address potential issues and optimize processes.
  • Ensure that all production activities are executed in accordance with the established procedures and company policies.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, including cleaning, lubrication, and troubleshooting minor issues.
  • Comply with and advocate stringent quality control procedures to ensure product consistency and safety.
  • Conduct in-depth inspections and audits of products and processes, taking corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, industry standards, and internal quality benchmarks.
  • Complete and maintain accurate records of documented inspections, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
  • Ensure rigorous adherence to all safety protocols and procedures, and support safety initiatives on the production floor.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions to address potential hazards.
  • Contribute to initiatives to enhance production processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor or production manager to support the team and ensure efficient operations.
