Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- Minimum 1 year of documented manufacturing experience.
- Basic knowledge of arithmetic, weights, and measures.
- Basic computer skills necessary for tracking of jobs.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail are essential.
- Proficient use of precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
- Ability to perform in short cycle, frequent changeover environment
- Must be able to lift with or without mechanical aids on a recurring basis (up to 45 lbs.)
Responsibilities
- Sets up and prepares machines for production runs of close tolerance for wire and sheet, adjusting as needed to maintain tolerances of product specifications
- Inspects product visibly with use of magnification and using precise measuring instruments for quality and proper dimensions
- Identify needed parts, tools, and materials based on information provided in work order
- Ability to schedule multiple jobs from processing stock
- Identify correct process steps for different metals and products
- Confers with lead to determine status of assigned projects
- Maintains work area in clean, safe, and orderly manner
- Order parts and supplies used within work area
- Uses proper safety equipment and apparel required for each operation
- Other duties as assigned
