About The Position

BioProtect Ltd is a leading medical start up in radiation protection technology. We offer spacers protecting healthy tissue during radiation oncology treatments, based on proprietary biodegradable balloon technology. The balloons suit a wide range of clinical applications in the fields of oncology and general surgery. The company’s first product, the BioProtect Balloon Implant, protects healthy tissue in patients undergoing radiation therapy for prostate cancer.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a Production Technician in which 2 years as a manufacturing Team Leader in the field of Medical Devices
  • Relevant working experience in a Clean Room
  • Relevant working experience in a highly regulated medical device industry
  • Hands-on approach, technical capabilities
  • Proven managerial skills
  • Ability to perform well in a dynamic environment
  • Computer skills – Office applications, ERP work experience (Priority – an advantage)
  • High level English language skills (verbal and writing)

Responsibilities

  • Manufacturing parts and assemblies according to work instructions
  • Comply with company’s policy and procedures on maintenance of personnel hygiene and clean room cleanliness.
  • Support the Production Manager with team management:
  • Responsible for allocating resources to workstations according to the production plan
  • Responsible for production keeping the production targets
  • Responsible for quantities reporting, including in the ERP
  • Responsible for reporting any unusual occurrence on the production line (e.g. team, machinery and equipment) including problem solving
  • Responsible for ensuring that the production is being done according to the procedures
  • Certified to perform manufacturing and Quality control activities according to specific internal qualifications
  • Upon successful completion of qualifications – train and qualify production employees and lead trails of applicants
  • Support improvements in production processes
  • Support R&D and validation activities and support interfaces with QA and Eng.
  • Responsible for materials inventory management in the production line including periodical counts
