About The Position

Our Production Team Leaders build the foundation of our business. They engage their teams, keep employees safe and operations running smoothly! We’re looking for a Production Team leader to join our Oriented Strand Board (OSB) mill located in Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan. Meadow Lake employs 155 employees and safely and sustainably produces 680 million square feet of OSB every year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities.

Requirements

• Completion of grade 12.
• 3 – 5 years' experience within a manufacturing setting with wood products manufacturing preferred.
• 2 – 3 years' experience leading a team.
• Strong organization and planning skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of post-secondary education and/or a supervisory or leadership certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively across teams.
• Troubleshoot and find solutions as needed.
• Optimize productivity and recovery.
• Lead by example and set the bar for those around you by inspiring, coaching and developing your team.
• Work with your team to meet production targets, budgets and managing staffing levels.
• Identify and report on any maintenance and safety issues.
• Ensure work is done safely and according to safety procedures.
