Requirements

Proven track record in a similar supervisory or team leader role in a manufacturing environment.
Strong people leadership skills with the ability to manage performance and development.
In-depth knowledge of health & safety and quality systems.
Results-driven mindset with strong planning and organizational skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
IT literacy (Microsoft Office and production systems).
Confidence to lead from the front, take responsibility, and influence positive change.
Experience with automated control systems and understanding their role in production.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in casting or ceramics environments.
Previous experience in ceramics manufacturing.
Familiarity with ERP systems and data-driven production environments.
IOSH Managing Safely qualification.
Experience with Lean tools and continuous improvement practices.

Responsibilities

Providing direction, motivation, and support to the production team to achieve KPIs for safety, quality, output, and cost.
Actively participating in the production area while managing leadership duties.
Conducting team briefings at the start of each shift to outline priorities, share KPI performance, and resolve issues.
Ensuring the team is production-ready at the start of the shift, including pre-start checks and addressing staffing or equipment issues.
Planning and organizing labor resources to meet the production schedule.
Collaborating with management, quality, and engineering teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.
Upholding health & safety and quality standards according to company policies.
Identifying equipment or performance issues and taking ownership of corrective actions.
