About The Position

The Production Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily production activities while working hands-on alongside the crew to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety. This role coordinates closely with supervisors and quality teams to meet production schedules and maintain high standards. The Team Lead also drives team performance by assigning tasks, solving problems, and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. SAFETY IS OUR HIGHEST PRIORITY. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 1-2 years of precast concrete or related production experience preferred
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work across teams
  • Ability to lead, train, and coach employees effectively
  • Solid problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills and ability to read a tape measure accurately
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
  • Self-motivated with strong attention to detail and task ownership
  • Working knowledge of production materials and processes
  • Ability to adapt to change and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 75 lbs occasionally and frequent bending, climbing, kneeling, twisting, squatting, crawling, and repetitive hand/arm use
  • Capable of standing, walking, and moving throughout the facility for extended shifts of up to 12 hours
  • Comfortable working at heights using ladders, scaffolding, swing stages, and man lifts frequently
  • Ability to work safely in a production or field environment with moderate to high exposure to safety risks and hazards
  • Willingness to work in varying environmental conditions, including wet, hot, humid, and cold weather, and outdoors (Depending on location)
  • Ability to wear all required PPE, including but not limited to safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, high visibility vest, hard hat, and other PPE as required by the task, department, or work area.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and work alongside crew to strip, set up, and pour beds efficiently and on schedule
  • Coordinate with Supervisors to ensure production timelines and goals are met
  • Partner with Quality Control to maintain product standards and address issues
  • Assign, monitor, and support daily tasks for team members
  • Read and verify pour tickets to ensure accuracy and proper execution
  • Track and manage inventory and materials used by the crew
  • Promote and enforce safety policies; address hazards promptly
  • Support plant housekeeping and cleanliness standards
  • Assist with daily production planning, troubleshooting, and problem-solving
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce errors, and increase efficiency
