About The Position

At Forte Opening Solutions, the Production Team Lead works both in the business by ensuring processes run smoothly and on the business by seeking continuous improvement opportunities. The role provides day-to-day leadership to production operators, supports production requirements and teamwork, and helps maintain a positive, safe, and well-organized work environment.

Responsibilities

Lead the Tier 1 meeting, ensuring metrics are reviewed and missed metrics are addressed through countermeasures, root-cause identification, corrective actions, assigned responsibilities, and target completion dates; identify and verify required support.
Maintain the integrity of Tier 1 and Tier 2 board data and information.
Assign operators to daily work and ensure required training and certifications are evaluated and complied with for each assignment.
Conduct regular lean process audits to verify the integrity of lean standards.
Maintain housekeeping and safety in the Tier 1 area.
Train, demonstrate, and coach the assigned team in lean tools and methodology.
Assist production supervisors in assessing team-member development needs and creating training plans.
Hold regular engagements and GEMBA walks with operators to support production requirements, consistency, and teamwork.
Provide operators with regular process-related communication, feedback, coaching, and ongoing support.
Monitor and support a positive work environment for employees.
