About The Position

First Quality is a family-owned company with over 35 years of history, operating 8 manufacturing campuses across the U.S. and Canada. We produce personal care and household products, leveraging advanced technology and innovation. We are seeking a Production Team Lead for our First Quality Baby Products facility in Macon, GA. This role is responsible for coordinating the work efforts of team members to achieve and exceed team performance goals, working as part of the regular operating team while performing this coordinating function.

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age
• Have a High School Diploma or equivalent
• Be a Production Tech II or III
• Complete the Team Lead Training Guide

Responsibilities

• Be responsible for efficient coordination of operating teams to achieve daily shift goals
• Participate in the development of team involvement plans to achieve higher levels of operation performance
• Take corrective actions, including recommending disciplinary actions, in order to resolve individual team member performance issues
• Establish and maintain mutually supportive relationships with other Team Leads, Production Supervisors, and resource support personnel
• Maintain communication with Production Supervisors regarding any information that affects the success of the line
• Provide leadership to team members in coordination with the appropriate support functions to identify and resolve safety and quality issues, to reduce waste, and to increase equipment efficiencies
• Train and/or direct the efforts of trainers in order to ensure team members have the resources they need to effectively perform
• Participate in daily meetings as required and communicate results to team members
• Ensure accuracy of shift production reports
• Model high standards of conduct and leadership
