About The Position

Toledo Tool & Die is adding a Production Team Lead 3rd Shift to our team to support our continued growth. This is a full-time position based in Pioneer, Ohio. We offer competitive wages, growth opportunities, and a clean, safe work environment. The hours for this position are typically 3rd Shift, Sunday night to Friday morning, 9:45pm-6:00am. Must be available to work overtime (daily, weekends & some holidays).

Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience with die setting in a manufacturing environment
Identified candidates must be able to work overtime (daily, weekends and holidays).

Responsibilities

Assist Department Supervisor in assigning/delegating work, coordinating the safe and efficient operations of the department to meet operational goals.
Fill in for the supervisor and their duties when the supervisor is unavailable.
Recommend measures to motivate employees and to improve safety, production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
Assist with coordinating activities & training of employees; die setters, material handlers and operators.
Confer with supervisors to coordinate operations and activities within or between departments.
Plan and establish job assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals when supervisor is unavailable.
Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
Authority to stop production in the event unsafe parts or conditions appear.
Assist in problem solving/ corrective actions.
Assist in developing work instructions.
Ability to sit in on interviews and disciplines when the supervisor is unavailable.
Must be able to multitask.
Ability to give clear direction and communication.
Train on Quality Alerts/Sign Off.
Follow & enforce all PPE & safety protocols as outlined in TTD handbook.
Performs other duties as assigned by the immediate Supervisor and/or Manager, which may be outside the scope of responsibilities noted above.
