About The Position
Grover Precision, a family-owned business, is seeking Production Support to join its team in Oxford, Maine. Since 1983, Grover has provided precision manufacturing solutions to customers in the medical, aerospace, defense, and industrial markets. Grover offers a family-friendly work environment and excellent opportunities for professional growth. The Production Support team member assists with a variety of manufacturing operations to help keep production running efficiently. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, learning new skills, and working in a manufacturing environment. No prior manufacturing experience is required, and training will be provided.
Requirements
- Ability to read and understand manufacturing instructions and work orders
- Basic math skills
- Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday
- Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Nice To Haves
- Previous manufacturing experience is helpful but not required
Responsibilities
- Support production operations as directed by supervisors and managers
- Cut, face, straighten, drill, polish, and bore-blast materials as needed
- Handle materials and assist with inventory movement throughout the facility
- Follow work orders, standard operating procedures, and quality requirements
- Track production time using the company kiosk clocking system
- Monitor work and report quality concerns or material issues promptly
- Coordinate with production, quality, and operations teams to keep jobs moving efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Benefits
- Pay: $18 - $22 per hour
- First-shift schedule, Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts with a flexible start time between 5:00 AM and 7:00 AM)
