About The Position
This role involves supporting production by ensuring quality control, operating machinery, and maintaining a clean work environment. The position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow directions, and a commitment to safety and teamwork. Responsibilities include sorting bales, operating a de-stacker, cleaning equipment, and assisting press operators and supervisors.
Requirements
- Past agricultural/manufacturing experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to perform work in a safe manner and follow directions with little supervision.
Nice To Haves
- Previous hay pressing experience
- Forklift experience
Responsibilities
- Cut and pull twine from bales and sort bales and flakes for quality.
- Sort and take bales out of production which do not meet quality standards.
- Discard bale twine into desired areas.
- Operate De-stacker.
- Un-jam bales from de-stacker.
- Sweep chaff and processing chaff as needed.
- Cleaning as necessary (floor & Machine).
- Empty Chaff bins as needed with forklift as trained.
- Product safety and quality assurance.
- Assist press operator and Press supervisors as needed.
- Support any other duties as necessary.
