About The Position
ComSonics in Weyers Cave is seeking a Production Support Technician to assist with electronics manufacturing processes, equipment programming, and product quality. The position works closely with production and engineering to prepare products for manufacturing, maintain accurate documentation, and support process improvements from initial builds through production release.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- At least one year of experience in manufacturing, electronics, or an engineering-related environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Nice To Haves
- An associate degree in a related technical field is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Examine engineering drawings and related documents to identify missing or inaccurate information.
- Develop and update assembly procedures and manufacturing instructions.
- Assist with prototype assembly, process implementation, and employee training.
- Identify ways to reduce production costs, improve efficiency, and maintain product quality.
- Help coordinate and implement Engineering Change Notices (ECNs).
- Program and operate manufacturing equipment, including AOI, Pick and Place, Wave Solder, Reflow, Screen Printers, X-Ray, and BGA rework systems.
