The Production Support Specialist supports the planning, execution, and continuous improvement of aircraft maintenance and component repair activities within the MRO (Maintenance Repair and Overhaul) environment. This role collaborates with quality, engineering, logistics, and the production team to enhance workflow efficiency, ensure regulatory compliance, and reduce repair turnaround time.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in industrial, Aerospace, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience working in and aviation facility, manufacturing facility, or a related industry.
  • Apply logic and reasoning to identify strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
  • Works under limited supervision.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken.
  • Knowledgeable in ERP Systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Project.
  • U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident (Green Card) Holder

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of EASA/FAA Part 145 and EASA/FAA Part 21
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • Pentagon 2000 and/or SAP knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Develop aircraft maintenance and component repair processes in accordance with approved documentation, regulations, customer, and quality requirements.
  • Improve maintenance efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, material and equipment requirements, standardizing work methods, solving operational issues, and providing technical support.
  • Serve as project manager coordinating efforts between the production floor, quality, engineering, and logistics to ensure timely project completion.
  • Collaborate with the production floor to establish production schedules, set priorities, and support weekly and monthly production planning goals.
  • Support repair station growth and development with the implementation of lean initiatives and methodologies.
  • Ensure compliance with all contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop precision machining and surface treatment work instructions related to component repair activities.
  • Perform production control duties for in-house repairs; plan and distribute workload to shop supervisors to meet customer delivery requirements and financial objectives.
  • Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for growth and process improvement.
  • Create and manage aircraft and component work orders utilizing Pentagon 2000 ERP system as required.
  • Develop detailed work cards for component repair activities.
  • Coordinate with tool room attendant to ensure required tools are procured in a timely manner and approved through the established process.
  • Locate, oversee, and support U.S. repair facilities for subcontracting maintenance including composite repairs, welding, sheet metal fabrication, and special processes.
