About The Position

Clariant is seeking a Production Support Operator to join our team supporting the Catalyst Business Unit. This position plays a key role in maintaining high standards of safety, environmental compliance, and production efficiency at our West Plant facility in Louisville, KY. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of performing a range of hands-on duties with minimal supervision, including unloading bulk materials, managing product screening operations, and supporting waste handling procedures. This role interacts regularly with multiple departments and supports critical production functions in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework, preferred
  • Experience with SAP Materials Management/Warehouse Management or other ERP systems
  • Previous experience in a production or warehouse environment
  • Occasionally serve as backup support at Clariant's other plant site (PPCat) as needed in the absence of that Production Support Operator and ensure operational continuity
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Excellent attendance, safety record, and work ethic
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance required

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, quality, and productivity standards through proactive issue identification and resolution
  • Safely unload bulk trucks and complete SAP transactions to receive materials into inventory
  • Oversee screening operations, including cleanliness, documentation, and timely execution of screening, repackaging, and blending
  • Manage scrap and waste areas, including dumping, drum crushing, and inventory control
  • Perform routine inventory checks to maintain production readiness
  • Operate independently and train others as needed
  • Support production demands through flexible or extended work hours
  • Maintain required certifications (hazardous waste handling, forklift, OSHA/Clariant training)
