About The Position

DPG is seeking a talented and driven Production Support Electrical Engineer to support one of our customer’s premier programs in a classified environment. This position is based onsite at a Raytheon facility in Tucson, Arizona and supports a 3rd shift schedule from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM. In this role, you will support production and supplier related technical issues, troubleshoot failures, drive problem resolution, and work across cross functional engineering and operations teams to ensure timely execution and mission success. This role requires someone who can quickly assess technical problems, determine the information and resources needed, prioritize issues appropriately, and drive a path to troubleshooting, correction, and final resolution. You will coordinate across engineering and operations teams, maintain strong communication throughout issue resolution, and take ownership of problems through completion.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a similar technical field and at least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience troubleshooting, testing, and debugging digital, analog, RF, and or mixed signal circuit card assemblies and or electro mechanical systems
  • Experience supporting manufacturing, production, or test operations for electronic assemblies
  • Experience conducting Root Cause Corrective Action investigations
  • Proficiency using lab equipment including oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, programmable power supplies, and related tools
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, and bills of material
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to assess issues quickly and drive corrective action
  • Ability to coordinate across cross functional teams and clearly communicate technical plans and status
  • Experience maintaining technical data packages and supporting engineering change documentation
  • Willingness and ability to work onsite on 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds in support of hardware installations
  • Must be able to support a 9/80 work schedule
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret security clearance prior to start date

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Raytheon production support engineering experience
  • Experience in electrical engineering design of circuit card assemblies, electro optical systems, RF systems, seekers, sensors, or related electronic subsystems
  • Experience supporting production, supplier, and sub tier supplier issues in mission or defense environments
  • Experience with test automation scripting and production test support
  • Experience with subsystem integration and test and post test analysis
  • Experience with Statistical Process Control methods and production yield improvement efforts
  • Experience writing technical documentation and delivering formal technical presentations
  • Experience implementing Engineering Change Notices
  • Experience with tools such as Mentor Graphics Designer, PSPICE, System Vision, MATLAB, Mathcad, IDL, CST, Microwave Design Studio, HFSS, ADS, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a small technical team
  • Experience providing technical oversight, direction, cost estimation, tracking, reporting, and proposal support

Responsibilities

  • Support production factory and supplier related technical issues through troubleshooting, maintenance, and issue resolution
  • Make quick assessments of production and technical problems, determine additional information required, and develop effective corrective action plans
  • Communicate troubleshooting plans, updates, and status clearly to cross functional teams with diverse technical backgrounds
  • Take ownership of technical issues and drive them to completion by coordinating the necessary team members and resources
  • Troubleshoot failures involving digital, analog, RF, and mixed signal circuit card assemblies and electro mechanical systems
  • Use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, function generators, programmable power supplies, and spectrum or network analyzers to isolate and resolve failures
  • Analyze defect and yield data and implement process improvements to reduce recurring failures
  • Maintain technical data packages, including creation of change documentation using cPDM
  • Present engineering changes and technical updates in Review Board and Change Board settings
  • Participate in peer reviews across Engineering and Operations teams
  • Support additional electrical engineering and production support activities as required
