About The Position

The Airborne RF Electronics Electrical Engineering Department at Raytheon has an immediate need for a Production Support Electrical Engineer I. This role involves collaborating and coordinating with manufacturing, Program Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and other Engineering disciplines to proactively and efficiently resolve issues that may arise during production, testing, and integration. The position will reside within the Processing Production Design Support section that supports the Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) program. The location for this role is Plano, TX or McKinney, TX, with the ability to commute between both sites. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) major.
  • Experience with lab equipment, schematic drawings and CCA troubleshooting
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Nice To Haves

  • Strong communication skills including report writing and presentations
  • Conduct failure investigations and provide recommendations to address systemic issues and to prevent recurrence
  • Experience with Manufacturing Engineering
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, LUA, C, MATLAB, Python programming languages

Responsibilities

  • Ensure Special Test Equipment is always operable while improving test yield
  • Perform technical evaluations of hardware with the ability to categorize failures and systematically disposition failing hardware in a timely manner
  • Prioritize and execute improvement opportunities
  • Communicate to program leadership status updates of hardware failures
  • Ability to travel periodically to manufacturing facilities, suppliers, or customer sites to support production (up to 25%).
