About The Position

Parallel Employment Group is partnering with Perry's Ice Cream in Akron, NY to bring on Production Support Associate's for all 3 shifts. In this role, you will be assisting in working on the assembly line adding cartons and lids to the production process to start. In this role you will have the opportunity to learn about ice cream manufacturing and have opportunities to grow into a larger role with Perry's.

Requirements

High School Diploma, HSE or GED required.
Must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Ability to stand and walk for extended amounts of time as well as maintain footing on wet/icy floors.
Ability to push, pull and lift up to 60 lbs continuously.
Ability to stand for the entire shift.
Attention to detail to follow verbal and written directions.
Reliable, dependable, and thrives in a team environment.
Ability to briefly enter an extreme environment of -20 degrees at times.
Ability to use proper lifting and bending techniques.
Good basic math skills.

Responsibilities

Assisting in working on the assembly line adding cartons and lids to the production process.
Adding ingredients into the ice cream.
Lifting and pouring 50-60 lb pails of sauces and/or 20-30 lb boxes of other ingredients every 3-5 minutes.
General housekeeping.
Packaging product.
Keep work area clean and in safe condition while performing other duties.
Assist in other areas to support the production and sanitation teams.
Support the production of safe, high quality products and team member safety.
Help floor technicians and sanitation technicians when needed, especially during changeover.
Following all Good Manufacturing Procedures (GMP's).
