The Production Supervisor is responsible for supporting and fostering a safety culture with a safety-first mindset. This role involves assessing facility goals against performance standards, developing corrective action plans, and managing leading indicator efforts such as safe work observations, 5S, and hazard recognition. The supervisor will hold employees accountable for safety policies, supervise daily production, provide hands-on training, and manage employee performance, including rewarding, disciplining, and resolving conflicts. Key responsibilities include leading and motivating employees by example, communicating operational information effectively at all levels, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality programs. The role requires working with minimum supervision, delegating tasks, evaluating challenges, and seeking support when needed. Maintaining necessary documentation, performing random inspections of quality and safety policies, identifying system gaps, and ensuring accurate completion of production and quality paperwork are also crucial. The supervisor will audit reporting systems for correct data entry and monitor raw materials to ensure adherence to customer specifications, completing necessary documentation for any substitutions. Physical requirements include continuously seeing, standing, walking, talking, hearing/listening, and frequently lifting up to 50lbs. Other duties may be assigned by the leadership team.
