We are searching for one hands-on Production Supervisor to join our Elevator Controls Corporation (ECC) team at Vantage Elevation. About Us Vantage Elevation, LLC is North America’s leading independent manufacturer of elevator components and systems. Vantage is comprised of eight business units including GAL Manufacturing; GAL Canada; Hollister-Whitney; Elevator Controls; Courion; Bore-Max; Thames Valley Controls and Vertical Dimensions. Through its brands, Vantage supplies almost all electro-mechanical devices used in contemporary elevators. Requirements

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Operations, Management, or a related field strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of operational or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, communication, and employee development skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, standardized work procedures, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to enforce safety, quality, and workplace standards in a unionized or industrial setting.

Responsibilities

  • Managing daily production operations across 8–10 hour shifts to meet production schedules and business objectives.
  • Supervising and directing up to 20–25 hourly employees across multiple departments.
  • Maintaining a visible presence on the production floor to monitor productivity, coach employees, and support continuous improvement efforts.
  • Conducting regular performance discussions and providing ongoing feedback to support employee development.
  • Planning and executing weekly production targets while ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
  • Analyzing operational processes, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Tracking quality and delivery issues and implementing timely corrective actions.
  • Supporting engineering projects, new product introductions, and plant improvement initiatives.
  • Establishing and enforcing safety rules, PPE requirements, plant policies, and union agreements.
  • Championing 5S practices and maintaining an organized, safe, and productive work environment.
  • Working closely with the Production Manager and cross-functional teams at our Sacramento manufacturing facility.
