Requirements

High school diploma required; higher education or certification is desired.
Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in 24/7 plant operations.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
Proven track record of leading, training, and coaching direct reports.
Technical and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
Excellent multitasking abilities with a focus on prioritization.
Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Experience with lean, Kaizen, safety and OSHA practices.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP or SAP experience is a plus.
Strong manufacturing experience focused on safety, quality, cost, productivity and delivery.
Physical requirements include working in plant, warehouse and office environments; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; exposure to weather and noise; and use of required PPE.

Responsibilities

Direct supervision of daily operations, including staffing, quality control, safety requirements and prevention, and schedule adherence.
Lead by example to achieve safety, quality, service, cost and production targets, while identifying and suggesting improvements.
Hold the team accountable to procedures, expectations and conduct standards through recognition and respectful correction.
Enable process improvements using safety and continuous improvement techniques.
Mentor Lead Operators for escalations and workload management.
Ensure strong employee relations through professional engagement and consistent floor visibility.
Conduct administrative tasks including shift reporting and audits, time and attendance, safety, employee relations and performance activities.
Manage training, qualification, proficiency and performance across the team.
Build an excellent team environment through pre-shift meetings and employee voice.
Promote company programs including Shared Success, 5S, safety audits, training and the employee value proposition.
Monitor and drive KPIs including productivity, scrap, labor utilization, on-time delivery, OEE, complaints, TRIR and OSHA performance.
