Requirements

  • High school diploma required; higher education or certification is desired.
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in 24/7 plant operations.
  • Minimum 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Proven track record of leading, training, and coaching direct reports.
  • Technical and mechanical aptitude with troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent multitasking abilities with a focus on prioritization.
  • Results-oriented with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with lean, Kaizen, safety and OSHA practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ERP or SAP experience is a plus.
  • Strong manufacturing experience focused on safety, quality, cost, productivity and delivery.
  • Physical requirements include working in plant, warehouse and office environments; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; exposure to weather and noise; and use of required PPE.

Responsibilities

  • Direct supervision of daily operations, including staffing, quality control, safety requirements and prevention, and schedule adherence.
  • Lead by example to achieve safety, quality, service, cost and production targets, while identifying and suggesting improvements.
  • Hold the team accountable to procedures, expectations and conduct standards through recognition and respectful correction.
  • Enable process improvements using safety and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Mentor Lead Operators for escalations and workload management.
  • Ensure strong employee relations through professional engagement and consistent floor visibility.
  • Conduct administrative tasks including shift reporting and audits, time and attendance, safety, employee relations and performance activities.
  • Manage training, qualification, proficiency and performance across the team.
  • Build an excellent team environment through pre-shift meetings and employee voice.
  • Promote company programs including Shared Success, 5S, safety audits, training and the employee value proposition.
  • Monitor and drive KPIs including productivity, scrap, labor utilization, on-time delivery, OEE, complaints, TRIR and OSHA performance.
